Perry was awarded in 2012 by the peer recognition for the Senior signature status at the Federation of Canadian Artists (SFCA). For several years, his painting “en plein air” (literally “in the open air”) has a long tradition made popular by the French Impressionists, and embraced by thousands, if not millions, of painters. Perry has become a devoted practitioner of the art of plein air painting and established himself known and loved for his skills in the colour movements of the nature, his signature “loose and lively” style.
